Frequently Asked Questions

We can only accept payments on Beaverton Municipal Court cases. We cannot accept payments for cases belonging to other courts (Washington County Circuit Court, Washington County Justice Court, Multnomah County Circuit Court, etc.).
If you see a "Citation Cannot be Found" message when you enter your citation/ticket/case number, it either means (i) you didn’t enter your information correctly or (ii) you don’t currently have any obligations to pay.

Please contact the Court if you need further assistance.
No. You will NOT be sent a bill, invoice or statement. It is your responsibility to ensure that your payments are made timely.
Failure to pay your monthly payment in full and/or timely may result in the issuance of a warrant for your arrest, suspension of your driving privileges, re-imposition of any previously suspended amount, or the assessment of additional fees, including a collection fee equal to 25% of each fine imposed, not to exceed $250.00 per charge. This debt may be assigned to a collection agency. If you are having trouble making your payments, you have the option to speak with a judge during open court hours. Refer to our main website for court dockets, times, and location.
Online we accept all major credit/debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We will accept check or money order in-person or via mail, and cash in-person only.
Credit card payments generally get declined for a number of reasons including insufficient funds, frozen account status, invalid credit card number or expiration date, invalid CVV number, etc. Unfortunately the card issuing bank often does not provide us additional details regarding the reason for the decline -- that's why the error you see simply states "transaction declined".

If no reason is given, you'll need to contact the card issuing bank for more information about the specific reason for your decline.
Yes. There is a one-time $10.00 installment fee that will be added to the balance of your case for initiating a payment plan.
Yes. A $5.95 convenience fee is added to all payments. If you're making a monthly installment payment, the convenience fee drops to $2.95.
Please contact the Court if you believe a refund is necessary. Be prepared to provide information about your transaction such as your name, case/citation number, date of transaction, transaction amount and last four digits of the credit card number.

Once your payment is made, any convenience fees or credit card fees applied to your payment are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
